My daugher is a K3 student in St Catherine. This school is really good at teaching phonics. Apart from English, Chinese is also good. Home assignments are not much but students can learn accurate pronunciation and many vocalbury during lessons and daily activities. When students go to K2, they start to tell you the story and you make their reading record.
This is one of the best kindergartens in Hong Kong, emphasizing in Language (Eng, Chinese, Putonghua). Teachers are caring and experienced. They have a high percentage of students going to traditional reputable schools such as Wah Yan, La Salle, DBS, DGS and Mary Knoll. I'm happy that your kid has a chance to study in that school
My daughter is currently studying in St Catherine, K3. I would highly recommend this kindergarten to others as they are very systematic and good quality. Kids study there can speak very good English. My daughter is in English-Mandarin class, her Mandarin is also very good and can communication with native Mandarin speaker in China. What's more, the students there usually can get a good primary school. My daugther will go to Maryknoll this Sep.

1. my kid will also attend in this sept. but it is english - cantonese class. do you think that i have a chance to change to english - mandarin ?
2. do your kid has tutorial class ?
3. your daughter go to maryknoll in 1st round ? 2nd round or 3rd round
4. beside of good english, how about other subject ? like maths, chinese writing ... etc
5. do your kid like back to school ?
6. do you think the teacher is good ? care the kid well

3. Of course 1st round, the result for 2nd will be released on June 4th.
4. It's quite all arounded. SC has been strenghten their Chinese these 2 years. Maths is good.

now i need to face a headache problem.... actually, KC is also accepted my kid. heard from other parents, KC is a good school too. especially they are very strong on mandarin. meanwhile, they will have english class everyday around 30-40 mins by native english teacher. if you were me, what you will choice ?
