How to read with child

My daughter is 21 month years old and will not sit still when we read the book, when you read to her,she will open it and close it again & again, run away and come for a few times. I hardly complete a book (just within 10 pages) with her.
What should I do to improve the situation?
Oh, your daughter is very lovely.  She treats reading as a game and she is already very responsive to you!  She is doing extremely fine at her age.

Kids learn in many different ways. As your daughter is still at a young age, she learns mainly through game playing.  So she is reading with you even she runs back and forth during the process.

By the age of 3-4, she will be able sit still for a while to listen to you read.  By the age of 6-7, she will be able to sit still to finish reading chapter books on her own.

If you want to do a bit more with her, you may consider telling her stories / chatting with her with the aid of some stuff animals, singing songs, reading aloud poems, and playing some audio stories to her while she is playing.

Kids learn through observation too. Therefore, you need to be a good role model by reading very often in front of her.  She will definitely pick up this reading habit if everyone at home loves reading.
